Construction Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Plants

Construction Project Manager As a construction project manager, you will oversee onsite construction engineering activities for industrial projects, primarily focusing on water/wastewater treatment plants, but also including factories, production facilities, and data centers across various industries. Duties and responsibilities include:
Ensuring that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Managing project engineers, superintendents, and foremen and overseeing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team.
Managing project engineering and personnel functions, including planning, administration, and work assignments.
Ensuring compliance with company and contract requirements, supporting the overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
Providing technical support, including construction planning, design interpretation, and conflict resolution.
Developing and administering project engineering procedures and work controlling documents (submittals, RFIs, material deliveries, payment requests).
Representing the company in A/E, client, and project management meetings.
Interface with on-site departments to resolve issues and ensure construction quality.
Overseeing pre-construction services, design-build services, and business development.
Working with the superintendent to control job costs and production budgets.
Preparing and submitting monthly cost, income, and cash flow projections.
Executing and approving subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
Assisting in the settlement of change orders and claims.
Responding quickly to issues, proactively solving problems, and handling multiple tasks.
Maintaining subcontractor insurance certificate compliance.
Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent technical training and experience. 10+ years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management. 5+ years of construction engineering experience in heavy industrial projects. Professional engineer (PE) registration is preferred but not required.
Skills and abilities: Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
