ADU Express is a high-velocity design-build firm specializing in ADU development for

multifamily properties across Los Angeles. We are part of a larger real estate holding

company, meaning we build for our own portfolio—not third-party clients. This structure

gives interns rare exposure to both the construction operations and real estate investment

sides of the business, working in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.

Daily task and responsibilities

As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll work directly with the construction team, design team, and the site superintendent, gaining firsthand experience in day-to-day field coordination, construction workflows, and overall project delivery. You’ll be involved in:

- California ADU codes & permitting (SB1211, etc.)

- Construction operations, scheduling, and logistics

- Subcontractor and vendor coordination

- Permit tracking and city agency processes

- Multifamily real estate investing, acquisitions, and value-add strategy

Ideal Candidate

- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

- Organized, resourceful, and eager to learn

- Comfortable in a high-velocity, real-world environment

- Strong interest in development, housing, or investing
