OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE • Responsible for the day-to-day scheduling within the department • Communicate, manage, and schedule projects with contractors and employees
DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES • Scheduling, rescheduling and canceling customer projects as required • Resolve scheduling problems between employees and contractors • Answering Customer questions regarding projects and operations (timelines) • Providing instructions to Customers and personnel to ensure they are prepared for the projects. • Confirming projected schedule and timelines • Courteously receiving feedback and holding the customer accountable for their requested schedule • Call contractors to plan, remind, and follow up on the schedules • Review & coordinate project plans with team members and other documentation required for the project. • Working in a team and effectively interact with others. • Maintains appropriate documentation and communication records related to the project. Improve records, databases, and calendars after the projects have been completed. • Prepares reports as needed to communicate performance regarding quality, production, schedule and cost against plans and estimates. • Assist in on-site projects when required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Self-motivated, independent individual with strong communication and time management skills. • Ability to work in a team environment and initiative to work alone. • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form. • Ability to identify problems/issues and generate solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures • Ability to perform administration functions in an efficient manner, that will include: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Construction Management Degree or 2+ years of highway construction experience or similar. • Ability to read/interpret and understand drawings/specifications, purchase orders, contracts, etc., is essential.
