Campus Title Construction Project Manager Department Facilities Services Position Summary HIGHLIGHTS
The Construction Project Manager is a temporary position that works within the department of Facilities Services and reports to the Associate Director of Facilities Services. In this role, you’ll work with Facilities Services supervisors, Facilities Planning & Construction, and campus customers on defining scope of work and writing scope of work documents, soliciting vendors /contractors, and overseeing the construction of Minor Critical Maintenance (MCM) projects, Dormitory Income Fund Reimbursable (DIFR) projects and internally led projects. You’ll be expected to work in a team environment.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensuring compliance with all applicable SUNY procedures
Identifying project scope of work and vendors/contractors for MCM, DIFR, and internal projects
Keeping projects on scope, budget and schedule
Facilitating the flow of information to and from the construction team and end users Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship Required Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in construction-related project management, construction administration and/or construction inspections in a diverse range of civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing construction projects. An associate’s degree or higher in an architectural / engineering field will substitute for experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of MCM and DIFR procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, TMA and other collaborative software. License/Certification Other Skills Required Supervision Received The Project Manager reports to the Associate Director of Facilities Services. Supervision Exercised Typically do not supervise lower level staff.
