About this Role The Construction Project Manager at Aligned Climate Capital will play a pivotal role in supporting the Aligned Solar Partners (ASP) strategy. This strategy is integral to the firm’s investment portfolio, focusing on acquiring, financing, constructing, and operating distributed solar, community solar, and energy storage projects within the United States. Currently, the ASP strategy manages a 90MW asset portfolio, and the Construction Project Manager will be crucial in its continued success. The role entails engaging with both external and internal stakeholders to manage construction contracts and oversee project tracking. The Construction Project Manager will ensure the successful execution of these projects from inception to completion, supporting a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. Responsibilities Manage third-party engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors from contract execution through substantial completion and handover to asset management. Ensure compliance of projects and timely deliverables. Track adherence to budgets and review change orders. Conduct involvement and support in EPC bidding processes and contract negotiations. Verify invoices and submit payments. Support procurement decisions and logistics management for modules and other equipment. Assist in the placement of commercial debts and manage relationships with lender independent engineers. Coordinate with the owner’s engineer and utility services for procedures. Facilitate regular coordination with asset management for project hand-off. Support internal initiatives for project tracking and data document protocol. Track project status on software platforms. Requirements 3-5 years of work experience in a project manager capacity at an IPP or EPC contractor. Experience in procurement, construction management, engineering, or asset management in renewable projects. Bachelor’s degree; a degree in a related field is a plus. Fluency in standard project management and document management software. Familiarity with project scheduling software like Microsoft Projects or Primavera.
