About Us : We are a leading construction management firm delivering high-profile healthcare and infrastructure projects in the Philadelphia marketplace. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager with strong union experience to lead complex projects with a focus on healthcare, driving success from preconstruction through completion in a fast-paced, unionized environment.
The Role : As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of complex construction projects, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and leading project teams to deliver exceptional results. This role demands technical expertise, strong leadership, extensive union experience, and the ability to engage with C-suite executives while managing healthcare-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Act as the main point of contact for owners/clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
Coordinate and manage the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to schedules in a unionized environment.
Review and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), resolving issues promptly to keep projects on track.
Secure all necessary building permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Navigate unionized work environments, ensuring compliance with labor agreements and maintaining positive relationships with union representatives.
Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific protocols ICRA, HIPAA) and manage phased construction to minimize operational disruptions.
Present project updates to C-suite stakeholders, aligning on strategic objectives and maintaining strong client relationships.
What We’re Looking For :
Experience : 10+ years of project management experience in construction, with a focus on healthcare projects. Extensive union experience, with a proven track record working with unionized labor on major construction projects. Proven success managing projects for major healthcare systems; experience with utility or infrastructure projects is a plus.
Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, including infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in project management tools Procore, MS Project) and expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and RFI management.
Leadership & Communication : Executive presence with the ability to engage and present to C-suite stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams and manage union relationships effectively.
