Project Coordinator / Scheduler | Lorton, VA
We're looking for a highly organized, quick-thinking Project Coordinator / Scheduler to join a busy site development contractor handling both residential and commercial projects in the DC metro area. If you're proactive, thrive under pressure, and can switch gears on a dime, this role offers the chance to be at the center of operations for a fast-growing, family-owned company.
What You'll Do:
Field calls from site supervisors and builders to coordinate scheduling needs Ensure all necessary documents are in place, utility tickets, signed contracts, work orders, and printed plans Manage and update the daily whiteboard schedule for multiple active projects Balance logistics for 25-30 commercial projects and 30-50 residential projects in various stages Keep schedules running smoothly despite last-minute changes from builders and shifting priorities Work closely with field teams to make sure jobs are ready to start and stay on track What We're Looking For: 2-3+ years of scheduling or project coordination experience (more is even better) Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Familiarity with construction operations and terminology A go-getter attitude with the ability to pivot quickly when plans change Thick skin and comfort working in a casual, construction-office culture Nice-to-Haves: Site development experience Knowledge of pipe, machinery, or utility construction terminology Compensation & Benefits: $60K-$85Kbase salary depending on experience Performance-based bonus potential
