The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting our project management team and contributing to the overall success of our construction endeavors.

*Duties*

* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site conditions. * Analyze project requirements and collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive estimates. * Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating. * Utilize estimating software to create and manage estimates. * Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids. * Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budget control. * Review contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. * Provide support in preparing bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.

*Skills*

* Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices. * Proficiency in using estimating. * Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors. * Ability to analyze blueprints, contracts, and specifications effectively. * Familiarity with cost control measures in construction management. * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with team members and stakeholders. * Experience working on construction sites is a plus, providing practical insight into project execution.
