Construction Site Superintendent

KMM is looking for a qualified Construction Site Superintendent with Wireless Construction Experience for work in the Upstate New York market. The KMM Construction Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all field operations on designated projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and safety regulations. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise to manage subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and maintain construction schedules.
Work Location: Candidate should anticipate working regular business hours in person in Rome, NY and Yorkville, NY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
5 years of construction management in New York State.
Wireless construction management experience a plus
Ability to supervise 5+ projects simultaneously
OSHA 30-hour certified.
CPR/First Aid trained.
Experience using Procore and MS Project.
Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings.
Ability to redline and draft commercial construction drawings.
Supervise/manage subcontractors on base
Strong understanding of interior and exterior construction.
Ability to lead and teach others effectively.
Proficiency in organizing paperwork and correspondence.
Ability to travel as required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Capability to communicate effectively with architects and engineers.
Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Expertise in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
Job Requirements:
Coordinate all subcontractor work to ensure seamless execution.
Ensure all safety procedures are in place and upheld on each project.
identify and mitigate project risks/issues
Monitor job sites continuously to enforce quality control and safety standards.
Maintain effective communication between office staff and the accounting department.
Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with government regulations & standards.
Complete daily logs, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely manner.
Effectively manage multiple deadlines under high-pressure conditions.
Build and maintain relationships with owners, vendors, and subcontractors.
Perform Project Manager responsibilities when needed, including handling RFIs.
