Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee healthcare-related construction projects, including those for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital construction, federal compliance, and managing complex, multi-phase projects in active healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities: Lead daily on-site construction operations and ensure adherence to project schedules and safety standards. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain workflow and quality. Ensure compliance with VA specifications, infection control protocols, and hospital operational requirements. Conduct daily site inspections, safety meetings, and progress reporting. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and VA representatives to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial or healthcare construction. Proven experience with VA construction projects or hospital renovations. Strong knowledge of OSHA , infection control , and Joint Commission standards. Ability to manage construction in occupied healthcare facilities . Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).

Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety. USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM). CPR/First Aid Certification. LEED or CHC (Certified Healthcare Constructor) is a plus.
