We’re partnered with a well-established and respected General Contractor in San Antonio seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage large-scale ground-up projects across the K-12, Industrial, Community Center, and Justice (including Jail) sectors . Projects typically range from $20M and above , offering the opportunity to lead meaningful, community-impacting developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion
Manage daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
Lead, coordinate, and supervise all field personnel and subcontractors
Enforce safety protocols and OSHA standards, conducting site inspections and toolbox talks
Monitor and maintain construction schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager
Interpret project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy
Coordinate with inspectors, consultants, owners, and architects to resolve field issues
Ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and specifications
Maintain detailed project documentation including daily logs, progress photos, and reports
Assist with scheduling inspections, deliveries, and resolving material/equipment issues
Lead site meetings and communicate project expectations clearly to field teams
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience in a Superintendent role on commercial ground-up projects
Proven experience managing projects valued at $20M+
Strong background in K-12 schools, industrial facilities, community centers, and justice/jail construction
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and building codes
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient in construction management tools and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain momentum on large, complex job sites
OSHA 30 certification preferred
