This role is responsible for building all phases of certain construction projects. This is a full-time exempt position.
The Superintendent reports to the Sr. Vice President of the division. This is a full-time exempt position. Some travel is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver project on time and on budget
Coordination of all field activities
Regular interaction with sub-contractors and vendors
Coordinate and manage with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator on field changes, RFIs, and change orders.
Ensure jobsite in organized and projects a professional image
Perform jobsite safety meetings
Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may supervise a Site Coordinator or an Assistant Superintendent.
Must-Haves:
5 15 years of experience for Superintendents
Strong work ethic; entrepreneurial mindset
Experience with utilities, groundwork, and field coordination
Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
Proficiency with reading drawings, project schedules, and documentation
Experience managing subcontractors/vendors and conducting jobsite safety meetings
Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation (RFIs, change orders, etc.)
Nice-to-Haves:
Stable job history (no more than 3 jobs in 10 years)
Experience with private general contractors (no owner/developer-side resumes)

Work Environment
This job operates at the construction worksite. The employee may be exposed to heavy machinery, and outside weather conditions.
The noise level could on occasion be very loud. This role will use office equipment such as computers (to include tablets), phones, copiers and/or printers.
Technical Questions:
1. Do you have at least 5 years of experience in a Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction?
2. Are you able to read and interpret construction drawings, project schedules, and structural specification sheets?
3. Are you experienced in coordinating field activities and managing subcontractors and vendors on a construction site?
4. Have you previously conducted job site safety meetings and ensured compliance with safety standards?
5. Are you proficient in using computers or tablets for job-related tasks such as RFIs, field changes, and documentation?
