Position : Construction Superintendent
Summary : To provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule. Superintendent shall be responsible for coordinating with project teams, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform daily quality control and quality assurance of work being performed
Communicate with project team regarding scheduling, RFI's, Submittals
Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work
Coordinate required inspections with governing jurisdictions
Preside over weekly job site meetings and safety meetings
Identify and Resolve non-compliance of safety, health and environmental standards
Maintain daily construction logs & communication with project team as necessary
Ensure that job site is always kept in a clean, safe and organized manner
Opening the job site at the beginning of the day and securing the job site at end of day
Establish punch lists and ensure subcontractors are correcting all deficiencies
Supervisory Responsibility:
The Project Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specification and local codes. Superintendent will be responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field and the communication with project team for mutual resolution, prior to the execution of work that deviated from approved plans. The superintendent shall establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction. The Project Superintendent does not have authorization to engage in monetary or contractual agreements (contracts, change order, work authorizations). All requests may be made to the project team for consideration. Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants and vendors on a daily basis. This position shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed.

Provide direction and resolve problems amongst 20+ subcontractors and vendors.
Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.

Physically lift up to 100lbs
Endurance and ability to work on large jobsite, including stairs or other elevated structures

Must have working vehicle and be able to travel to jobsite(s) as assigned.
Physical Demands: indoor & outdoor work in all climates, overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, stand; while performing job duties, superintendent is regularly exposed to wet/humid conditions, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and construction materials and equipment. Loud noises & risk of injury.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience, through knowledge of trades and be computer literate. General construction and carpentry knowledge and skills. Ability to read an interpret documents such as blueprints, safety documents, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of clients and/or subcontractors. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems.
Salary: Compensation commensurate with experience
