Job Overview
Workman Industrial Services Inc. is seeking two experienced Construction Superintendents to help lead major water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects across Northeast Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected, family-owned general contractor with 55 years of proven success in delivering complex, high-quality infrastructure projects. You will manage field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and help ensure project quality, safety, and timely delivery.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with extensive experience in water/wastewater treatment plant construction who can operate heavy equipment, communicate effectively, and mentor the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities-
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from start to finish.-
Work hands-on alongside field crews, providing leadership and guidance.-
Allocate resources efficiently and effectively for assigned projects.-
Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring project milestones are met.-
Maintain high standards of workmanship in alignment with project plans and specifications.-
Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets project and industry standards.-
Monitor project progress and adjust schedules and workflows as needed.-
Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.-
Resolve field issues, conflicts, and change orders proactively.-
Interface with project inspectors, clients, engineers, architects, contractors, and government officials.-
Participate in project planning, pre-construction meetings, and scheduling sessions.-
Negotiate subcontractor pricing and material orders.-
Contribute to the development and mentorship of junior employees.
Qualifications-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in water/wastewater treatment construction.-
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations for water/wastewater projects.-
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.-
Familiarity with construction management software.-
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required).-
Current First Aid/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain).-
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.-
Strong leadership and team management abilities.-
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.-
Class A CDL (preferred).-
Heavy equipment operation experience (preferred).
