About Our Client
Mid-sized building and construction company based in New York City. This firm specializes in multifamily remodel and conversion projects throughout the 5 boroughs.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Construction Superintendentare:
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.
- Direct and supervise construction or related workers.
- Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
- DOB License is a plus
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations.

The Successful Applicant
The successful DOB Superintendent will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management preferred
- Minimum of five years of construction experience required
- General knowledge of building and construction codes in NYC
- SST 62
- Experience working with NYC subcontractors
