Construction Superintendent
The Superintendent is the company's representative with the responsibility and authority for daily coordination and direction of the project so that it is safe, within budget, on schedule, meets the company's quality standards, and meets the customer's satisfaction. To accomplish this, the Superintendent and the Project Manager work together as a complementary team. The Superintendent concentrates most of his or her time on the daily and short-range direction of the project.
Essential Functions:
Ensures that all safety programs, policies, and procedures are being adhered to.
Able to Pass a Background Check/ Drug Screening
Valid Driver's License.
Must be willing and able to travel 90 - 100% of the time.
Studies specifications and drawings to plan procedures for construction on basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
Is responsible for the construction project from start to finish.
Works with the Project Manager to determine and recommend hiring/separation of subcontractors.
Responsible for the daily management of subcontractors.
Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, quality control and the adherence to construction schedules.
Prepares daily and weekly reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
Conducts on site progress meeting, safety meeting, quality control meetings
All other duties as assigned to enhance the Mission, Vision and Values of Hydra Engineering & Construction.
Job Requirements
Must have a minimum of 4 years of project superintendent or higher experience
OSHA 30-hour construction course is
Corps of Engineers “EM-385" safety program certification is .
