Construction Supervisor

CTG is seeking to fill a Construction Supervisor opening for our client in Baytown, TX.
Location: Baytown, TX
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $75.00/hour
Duties:
• Supervise and coordinate field construction activities for capital projects ranging from $0.5M to $15M in value
• Ensure contractors and vendors comply with project plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture; ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
• Monitor and control field progress, schedule adherence, cost compliance, and quality of contractor work
• Maintain construction quality per design documents through ongoing inspection and performance oversight
• Analyze and resolve issues proactively; forecast potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Provide input into the development of construction schedules
• Prepare Daily Construction Reports (DCRs) and conduct weekly contractor meetings
• Manage scope changes effectively and ensure proper documentation and approval of all change orders before execution
Skills:
• Strong leadership and field supervision abilities
• Deep understanding of CAPEX business principles, construction engineering, cost estimating, and construction management
• Skilled in project execution under different contract models and subcontracts
• Proficient in construction quality assurance and scheduling adherence
• Capable of handling compliance issues and non-conformance reporting processes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience:
• High School Diploma and 12 years of construction experience or
• Associate degree and 8 years of construction experience or
• BS in Engineering or Construction Management and 2 years of relevant experience or
• MS in Engineering or Construction Management and 1 year of relevant experience
• Experience managing or supervising engineering/construction teams on capital investment projects
• Hands-on field experience with contractor supervision and project execution
Additional Requirements:
• TWIC Card required
• Must be able to spend significant time on-site daily
