Construction Supervisor/Project Manager

From: $80,000 per year + 401k match after 1 year of employment

Established Home Builder is seeking professional highly-motivated Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to join our construction team. The person in this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home building process including but not limited to: Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, specifications, and detailed development drawings A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality throughout the building process including craftsmanship, assembly, safety, and cleanliness Focused on maintaining schedules with diligent project and time management Fully understands the scope of work for each vendor

Required Skills and Abilities:

Excellent project and time-management skills

Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Demonstrated knowledge of new home construction process, scheduling and cost control procedures such as monitoring material waste.

Highly knowledgeable in local, state and federal building and construction codes; local guidelines and permitting.

Resourceful at problem solving and finding vendors to complete various tasks when needed.

Basic technology skills preferred: Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office

Good judgement and decision making skills

Works well under stress

Great with time management and scheduling multiple jobs at once

Attention to detail

Team Player

Demonstrates professional interaction skills with subcontractors

Run permits/paperwork if necessary

Call in inspections and check status of inspections

Somewhat handy

Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural components

Ability to do final punch-out walk with owners and complete the tasks indicated on the punch-out list.

Professional interaction with clients and customers

Experience/Education

Experience in Construction and/or the Home building environment, Minimum 5 Years Experience

Other Requirement

Minimal travel required, must own or lease a vehicle and have a valid driver's license with insurance coverage.
