We are currently seeking a skilled or trainable Bandsaw Operator to assist in cutting raw materials to specification for use in our production and fabrication processes.

Job Summary:

As a Bandsaw Operator, you will be responsible for safely and accurately cutting stainless steel and other metals using an industrial bandsaw. You'll work with the fabrication team to ensure materials are prepared to exact measurements for welding, assembly, and final production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate horizontal and/or vertical bandsaw equipment to cut metal stock to specified dimensions.

- Read and interpret cut lists, blueprints, and job orders to determine cutting requirements.

- Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting.

- Monitor blade condition and material feed to ensure proper cuts and equipment efficiency.

- Perform basic maintenance on bandsaw equipment, including blade changes and cleaning.

- Assist with material handling and staging for upcoming jobs.

- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with shop procedures and safety standards.

- Work as part of a team to meet production schedules and quality expectations.

Requirements:

- Experience operating a bandsaw or other metal-cutting equipment (preferred, but not required - willing to train motivated candidates).

- Ability to read tape measures, cut lists, and basic blueprints or drawings.

- Strong attention to detail and focus on precision and safety.

- Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.

- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to assist in other shop tasks as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a fabrication or construction environment.

- Basic knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.

- Familiarity with shop safety standards and PPE requirements.
