Job Category: Engineering & ScienceRequisition Number: DIREC001085Apply nowPosted : July 15, 2025Full-TimeHybridLocationsShowing 1 locationLead, manage, and advance complex development activities on existing as well as new wind, solar, storage and hydro portfolio of projects, and support commercial activities to transition the projects from development to construction.Provide technical and engineering expertise to support early-stage, mid and/or late-stage development by creating pre-construction engineering and design plans, energy yield assessments, transmission strategies and potential integration of new technologies, including storage.Provide mentorship and day-to-day leadership to team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture that supports individual growth and team success.Lead the negotiation and diligence of critical project contracts and agreements including PPAs, GIAs, Turbine Supply Agreements, and EPC contracts.Support the commercial team on all upcoming opportunities for our portfolio of projects.Be the EPC point of contact for providing guidance on new stand-alone investment opportunities.Work closely with the Director, Project Development to advance projects with team members of the O&D team and other functional teams, specifically with E&C team.Coordinate with functional teams on later stage design, project planning, engineering, and procurement strategies with a focus on project design.Support and provide technical advice and guidance on due diligence processes for acquisition opportunities, coordinating closely with O&D and other functional teams.Coordinate with E&C and Operations to manage OEM providers (wind, solar and storage), technology optimization and selection, coordination of suitability, and key commercial supply and operating service terms/agreements.Lead the development and review of project capital budgets, capital metrics, acquisition due diligence reviews, and investment decisions for the EPC team.Coordinate and support cost estimate models for O&M acquisition diligence reviews and project development pipeline, generate metrics/data to support bankability (particularly sustaining capital).Develop strong working relationships and open communication channels with O&D team, E&C, and project finance team.Direct contributions towards continuous improvement of BluEarth's development and construction best practice processes as well as identifying new opportunities to improve project execution and operational efficiencies.Uphold all aspects of BluEarth's Health, Safety & Environmental policies, practices, and programs and work to ensure that all contracts and agreements are implemented and administered with the same care and requirements such that occupational accidents, injuries, and other hazards related to BluEarth's activities are minimized and/or avoided.Uphold BluEarth's values and consistently enhance the image and reputation of the Company.Such other acquisition, development, construction, and/or operational functions as the Company may reasonably require in connection with the pursuit of its goals.As the position continues to evolve, and BluEarth advances its growth plan, modifications to the key functions and geographies set out herein are likely.EducationMaster's Degree, bachelor’s degree, technical certificate, in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred, but consideration will be given to those that possess tangible and proven experience and skills.ExperienceMinimum 15 years of engineering-focused project management experience within the renewable energy sector.Possess excellent, hands-on project management skills and demonstrated efficiency in providing project support on multiple concurrent projects.Significant and successful experience with all aspects of project development, engineering, consultation, construction, and integration to operations.Personal Characteristics & SkillsComfortable leading a team of professionals, some of which will be in-office, while others are remote.
