Kinsa is recruiting for a: Director of Construction (Foodservice Industry)
Location: Spring Valley, NY
Summary:
The Director of Construction will lead and support our client's Project Management team , ensuring projects are executed seamlessly and proactively. Our client is not just a commercial kitchen installation company - they operate as a general sub-contractor for the foodservice industry , responsible for coordinating with all trades on a job, including plumbers, electricians, framers, and HVAC contractors etc..
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a leadership role with a commercial general contractor, overseeing full construction projects from inception to completion.
Compensation/Benefits:
$150,000 - $180,000 Base Salary

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the Project Management Team, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed,
Oversee the coordination between subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, framers, etc.) to ensure all trades align and project run smoothly.
Maintain operations budgets, and establish best practices for project execution, ensuring timely, profitable, and high-quality delivery.
Recruit, train, and develop Project Managers, expanding the team as client grows.
Skills:
5+ years of experience working as a General Contractor, managing large-scale construction projects and overseeing and coordinating with subcontractors.
Proven experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects in a leadership capacity.
Expertise in process improvement, team development, and operational efficiency.
Able to anticipate issues and implement proactive strategies for resolution.
Proficiency in Procore, Outlook, AutoQuotes and drawing review.
