JTE Drywall and Paint is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Estimator to take the lead on drywall and paint project bids while actively supporting field communication and project execution. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with industry experience and a passion for both numbers and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for drywall and paint projects
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and job scopes to create takeoffs and proposals
- Communicate clearly with field workers to ensure alignment between estimating and execution
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to source pricing and timelines
- Track project opportunities, bids, and success rates
- Assist in managing awarded projects from estimate to handoff and completion
- Stay updated on market pricing, construction trends, and labor costs
- Represent JTE Drywall and Paint professionally to clients and partners
- Maintain documentation and organize estimate files for easy tracking and review
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in drywall and/or paint estimating preferred
- Solid understanding of commercial construction processes and materials
- Excellent communication skills, especially with field crews and subcontractors
- Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-first mentality
- Self-starter who is motivated by growth and performance
- Proficient with estimating software, spreadsheets, and reading blueprints
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
