We have been retained by our client, a growing Commercial General Contractor in the Lafayette, IN area, to find an Estimator . The selected candidate will be instrumental in delivering detailed project estimates, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Duties: Conduct comprehensive review of project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate. Engage with suppliers to obtain the most current pricing information, maintaining detailed records for reference. Analyze project design options, recommending solutions that optimize cost, quality, and material availability. Lead the negotiation and documentation process for project financial adjustments and subcontractor agreements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is a PLUS. 5+ years of Commercial Construction estimating experience Experience with Municipal and/or Higher Ed projects is a PLUS. Demonstrates a strong foundation in estimating techniques, cost control, and the interpretation of computerized cost data. Possesses the ability to manage multiple project estimates simultaneously with precision and attention to detail. Exhibits excellent communication skills, capable of effectively negotiating and managing project-related financial matters.
