Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing. Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment required for projects. Prepare and submit detailed and accurate project estimates. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure alignment on project scope and cost. Maintain organized records of bid documents, estimates, and project cost history. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed. Assist with value engineering opportunities to offer cost-saving solutions. Track project budgets and compare actual costs against estimates to improve future bidding accuracy. Continuously stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions. Qualifications: Prior experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar estimating role (commercial construction preferred). Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook). Knowledge of estimating software (preferred but not required - we can train the right person). Strong communication skills for interfacing with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Eagerness to learn and adapt to Commercial Construction Inc's methods and processes.
