Excavation Estimator - Sitework Construction Site Development –Heavy Civil Construction- Heavy Highway

An excellent civil construction, excavation, sitework construction contractor with an excellent reputation for diverse project work in Pennsylvania (commercial, residential, and public works projects) is actively seeking to add an Estimator to the team.

Position Description Experience to bid & effectively estimate heavy civil-sitework construction focused projects; (Excavation & Utilities, Storm & Sewer Lines, Site preparation, Asphalt Paving, Concrete, Bridge, Roadways, Civil Construction Projects).

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements

Utilize construction management software to create estimates

Review and interpret contract documents to identify scope of work, materials, and labor requirements

Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant information

Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and pricing strategies

Coordinate with the project team to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates

Assist in cost control efforts throughout the duration of the project

This role includes an understanding of heavy civil site work construction, along with the ability to interact & effectively communicate with clients, county & township personnel, and team members in a professional timely and efficient manner.

Work with project team to develop and implement strategies to achieve project pricing & cost objectives according to the estimate

Address and manage necessary change orders with the project team

Communicate with the project team to understand project scheduling and conflicts

Utilize leads to help identify upcoming project opportunities Qualifications Approximately three (3) or more years of site work construction estimating/project management experience; (Excavation, Site work, Heavy Civil Construction Projects).

Compensation is commensurate with experience as senior level candidates are urged to apply

Strong estimating, negotiation, and bidding experience

Proven experience as construction estimator, with strong understanding of civil construction

Ability to read civil drawings

Experience with construction industry-specific software, HCSS HeavyBid, PlanSwift, Agtek, Bluebeam, etc.

Excellent communication and organizational skills

College degree a plus
