*Position Summary*
The General Manager will oversee daily operations and lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and driving the Company’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess technical acumen, market insight and the leadership skills required to thrive in a highly competitive environment- all while upholding the Company’s values and culture.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Operations & Project Management*
* Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including estimating, sales, project planning, scheduling, procurement, construction, and quality control. * Develop and implement operational processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. * Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local building codes, and company policies. * Monitor and manage all phases of construction from design to completion for both new pool builds and remodels. * Collaborate with designers, superintendents, subcontractors, and project coordinators to ensure quality standards, project timeliness, and company values are upheld. * Proactively resolve project-related challenges and customer concerns, leveraging creative problem-solving where appropriate. * Support the sales team in securing new business and managing client expectations throughout the lifecycle of each project. * Drive exceptional service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. * Represent the company in a confident but selfless manner in client meetings, site visits, and community events. * Identify opportunities to grow existing business and expand into new revenue streams including commercial & outdoor living.
*Financial Management*
* Develop and manage operating budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. * Monitor project costs to ensure project profitability. * Collaborate with the accounting team on job costing and cash flow management.
*Team Leadership*
* Lead and mentor a diverse team of superintendents, project coordinators, and office support staff. * Recruit, train, and retain top-performing talent across departments. * Foster a culture of accountability, excellence and continuous improvement aligned with the company values. * Implement and manage using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to drive business clarity and execution.
*Qualifications*
* Minimum 5-years of experience in residential and commercial pool construction management. * Proven leadership and team management capabilities. * Solid understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management. * Exceptional communication, problem-solving and negotiating skills. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents. * Hands-on experience with project management and construction software (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, etc.). * Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel) and familiarity with tools such as 90.io and AI-driven solutions. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
