*What You’ll Do*

As a *Mechanic* at Northside Tool Rental, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our fleet of *construction equipment* is always ready for our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including skid steers, excavators, generators, lifts, and small tools. * Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine systems to identify and solve issues. * Ensuring all equipment meets Northside Tool Rental’s high-quality standards and is rental-ready. * Maintaining accurate records of work performed in our fleet management system. * Assisting with equipment deliveries, pick-ups, and in-field repairs as needed. * Supporting and mentoring team members in maintenance best practices. * Contributing to a clean, organized, and safety-focused shop environment.

*What We’re Looking For*

We’re seeking a *team player* with the following skills and qualifications:

* *Experience:* 1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment or similar machinery. * *Skills:* Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines is a plus. * *Tools:* Must own basic tools required for the job; specialized tools provided. * *Education:* High school diploma or GED and trade school or certifications in mechanics a plus. * *License:* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. * *Attributes:* * Strong attention to detail and time management skills. * Dependable and proactive problem-solver. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a bonus but not required for this role.
