Job Summary
:
The Construction Process Coordinator (CPC) is responsible for assisting the Construction Process Manager (CPM) in the timely execution of work for the following Construction functional assignments; Construction Condition Reports (CRs): Executes project’s CR process from initiation to screening, assignments, actions, plans, implementation, through to time completion and closure for Construction assignments. Includes execution of assigned ACEs and RCAs as may arise. Construction documents: Develops and revision of Procedures, Guides, Forms, etc. Included in this assignment is assisting in the management of Bechtel corporate deviations, as required, to maintain compliance with corresponding SWPP procedures. #LI-CL1
Major Responsibilities:
The Construction Process Coordinator (CPC) is responsible for assisting the Construction Process Manager (CPM) in the timely execution of work for the following Construction functional assignments:
Construction Condition Reports (CRs): Executes project’s CR process from initiation to screening, assignments, actions, plans, implementation, through to time completion and closure for Construction assignments. Includes execution of assigned ACEs and RCAs as may arise.
Construction documents: Develops and revision of Procedures, Guides, Forms, etc. Included in this assignment is assisting in the management of Bechtel corporate deviations, as required, to maintain compliance with corresponding SWPP procedures.
DOORS database: Maintains assigned requirements flow down in the requirements management database. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining the current DOORS database with respect to issued Construction procedures and responsibility for sub-allocated requirements as well allocated Quality Assurance Manual and OSHA requirements.
Lesson Learned: Assists the CPM with implementation of the Construction Lessons Learned program.
Education and Experince Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 1-2 years of progressive construction and/or relevant experience with procedures or self-assessments, or in lieu of degree, High School diploma or equivalent and 5-6 years of progressive construction and/or relevant experience with procedures or self-assessments.
Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)
Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries –are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access.
Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs which may require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, using fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE), walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, and maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of Bechtel’s Zero Accident Safety Program and familiar with current industry standards.
Ability to plan and coordinate tasks, work autonomously and complete work productively with attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work in a team-based environment, knowledge of project specific requirements, general awareness of processes and procedures and familiarity with current industry quality standards.
Ability to independently anticipate problems in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
Understanding of operation of Bechtel standard computerized systems and other information transmission and records applications.
WTP/WTCC experience.
