HVAC Construction Project Manager (Commercial)

We are ControlAir Systems (www.controlairsystems.com). For over 50 years, we have served the Massachusetts & NH areas as a Full-Service Commercial HVAC Contractor. Our reputation is built off superior client service, attention to detail, and the excellent relationships we have with our employees, vendors, and subcontractors. We are seeking an Experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our growing team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of commercial HVAC construction. They support the customer and overall construction process through excellent communication and organizational skills, are great at working independently and as part of a team, and ultimately provide an exceptional project experience backed by a very capable, well-respected HVAC organization!
Job Duties
- Manage the overall HVAC job scope on small and medium-scale commercial projects ($5M).
- Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders and evaluate submittals to reflect contract drawing and specifications.
- Work with project schedules, client requests and jobsite foremen to determine scheduling needs ensure efficient field production.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manage various documents such as Submittals, RFI's, Procurement and Closeouts during the life cycle of the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or trade experience with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- (3-5) or more years of experience in project or program management, ideally in the commercial installation space
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously to keep projects on course.
- Ability to simplify the communications of complex projects to effectively convey task assignments, milestones, work breakdown structures, and critical paths.
- Skill in demonstrating excellence through inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, knowledge transfer/training, and positive working relationships.
- Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers.
