Beyond the required education and experience instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.
This is an application pool posting for 2025-2026. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College’s main campus located in Eugene, Oregon.

The Part-time Faculty includes a generous contribution toward medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, long term disability and paid sick leave. Part-time faculty may be eligible for full contracted benefits after meeting certain criteria.
Grant Statement: Working Schedule: Classes are assigned by the Division Dean based on need, enrollment, and availability of contracted and/or senior part-time faculty. The part-time teaching schedule is determined by the Dean.
Possible teaching assignments throughout the year depending upon qualifications and available assignments (Varies by term).
Substitute Instructors work, on an as-needed basis, to provide support to students when the teacher of record is unavailable.

OR Career and Technical Education (CTE) Courses
Required Experience: Two (2) years experience in the related trade.
The operation, maintenance, and manual skills associated with the related trade.

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Education Bachelors in Construction Technology or equivalent.
Preferred Experience Construction foreman/supervision experience.
Community College teaching experience.

Teach and develop all class syllabi and course materials, in a form that can be directly delivered to, and used by, students
Confer with students on course materials
Deliver curriculum to students in traditional and online formats
Adhere to the OSHA standards.
Online Teaching and Student Support Engage within the online course environment to ensure Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI)
Monitor student progress and provide reasonable coaching and assistance to struggling students towards success
Review and grade all work submitted by students and provide timely and substantive feedback
Provide timely responses to student inquiries.
Ensure that all materials meet the guidelines of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
Use effective strategies for teaching online
Community Outreach and Business Relations: Participate in community service activities on behalf of the college to advance the college’s relationships within its service area as appropriate for department/division/college.
Develop community/industry/business contacts to advance college relationships within the program area as appropriate in the department and division.
Invite and include local businesses to connect and serve on the Construction Advisory Committee.
Adapt and conform to local industry advisory committee expectations of program proficiencies.
Attend and participate in regular Advisory Committee meetings, Hands-On Career Day, and other outreach and recruitment activities.
