Job Title: Construction Inspectors Ranked among the nation's top Construction Managers by Engineering News-Record, LiRo-Hill provides construction management, engineering, environmental, architectural, and program management solutions for a broad range of public and private sector clients. LiRo-Hill is currently seeking full-time Construction Inspectors for public housing projects throughout the five boroughs. Responsibilities Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications Inspect all material upon arrival to the job-site to ensure compliance Review plans to identify potential violations Follow through on the work from mobilization through completion ensuring satisfactory work completed Communicate and coordinate all facets of work with the subcontractors and concerned parties Perform resident relocation walk through with tenants Document inspections and report any issues Determine the quality of materials being used throughout the testing Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management 6+ years of experience in building construction trades including residential construction (finishes and applications) Ability to work weekends (including Sundays) when needed Knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations Proficient in Excel Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications and generate changes to the scope of work as required Strong written and oral communication skills Collaborate with multiple team members and have the ability to multi-task Ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment.
