Our client is a leading General Contractor in the luxury and high-end commercial space. They have a healthy pipeline of projects and are hiring due to growth.
Luxury Construction - Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY
Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems in cooperation with the project team.
One site daily.
Assist with pre-construction activities relevant to assigned commercial or retail construction project.
Will report directly to Senior Construction Manager and assist with all duties.
Establish and maintain communications between client and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
Prepare or assist pre-construction manager with the project budget.
Work with estimating department to prepare buy-out plan.
Coordinate with subcontractors.
Review and approve commercial construction operation plans, change order request, and pay apps.
Provide monthly forecasting for all projects, including internal general conditions costs.
Review contingency plans for potential problems concerning labor activity, fire, storms, etc.
Track and report on all project costs.
Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the project.
Remain knowledgeable of subcontract agreements, purchase order terms and conditions, and sub consultant agreements.
Develop and issue monthly status reports to keep management informed on construction progress, direct and indirect construction costs, and other project activities.

3+ years of working on commercial construction projects in NYC Building and Construction industry.
Experience with high-end residential or retail is a plus.
Experience in commercial and retail markets.
Experience handling projects.
Local to New York, NY.
Must have experience building in New York City.
Construction Management or equivalent degree.
Client facing Commercial Construction Project Manager.
