The Role
We are seeking an experienced and hardworking Construction Manager to join our Southeastern team. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company. Must have experience in the fuel and petroleum industry.
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule subcontractors and vendors for project execution.
Ensure project schedules are met, adjusting as necessary.
Communicate change orders and job issues to the Project Manager.
Conduct weekly budget and cost reviews with the Project Manager.
Schedule equipment deliveries and usage.
Enforce job site safety and conduct regular safety audits.
Oversee all subcontractors, including internal MEP teams.
Conduct part and equipment inventory within 48 hours of delivery and notify PM of any discrepancies.
Complete daily reports and documentation.
Assist PM with compiling closeout packages.
Manage all supplier paperwork, including warranty documents, checklists, tank Bills of Lading (BOLs), and backfill tickets.
Coordinate and ensure all inspections are completed properly.
Conduct employee evaluations.
Approve timecards for all employees assigned to the job.
Execute and communicate third-party and regulatory inspections and report results to PM.
Approve direct report timesheets and credit card receipts.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Primarily field-based with occasional office responsibilities.
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Must have experience in the fuel and petroleum industry
Must have minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager
Must live in Florida
Must be willing to travel throughout the state as needed.
Ability to lead teams for various sizes and see them through to completion
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good driving record with no traffic violations
Requires medical exam in accordance with DOT regulations
