Our client, a top mechanical contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager for their San Diego, CA location. With nearly a century of customer care and ownership, they prioritize safety and offer industry-leading BIM capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. This role involves leading mechanical construction projects safely, on time, and within budget across various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, and Industrial.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager's duties include ensuring safety of field personnel, optimizing labor productivity, quality assurance, project financial management, procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. They must adhere to all company policies and procedures, oversee work activities of direct reports, and be available during working hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements include:
3-7 years of construction-related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Works, Project, Access, PowerPoint), Bluebeam Revu, Vista-Viewpoint, and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to interpret various instructions.
