Construction Superintendent Multi-Family / Affordable Housing
Our client is a mission-driven general contractor and developer specializing in multi-family affordable housing projects. They are seeking a Construction Superintendent with a strong background in affordable housing and multi-family construction to oversee field operations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with uncompromising quality.
The Construction Superintendent will lead and manage all on-site construction activities for multi-family affordable housing developments. This individual must have a strong understanding of affordable housing compliance, construction quality standards, and scheduling in order to coordinate subcontractors and internal teams on fast-paced, detail-oriented projects. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all aspects of on-site construction activities for assigned affordable housing projects Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to meet project milestones Maintain and enforce project schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, design consultants, inspectors, and ownership Ensure full compliance with applicable codes, contract documents, and affordability program requirements (LIHTC, HUD, prevailing wage, etc.) Conduct daily site walkthroughs and safety meetings; maintain daily logs and field reports Lead site coordination meetings and manage subcontractor workflow Review and enforce the scope of work, plans, and specifications Oversee inspections, punch list completion, and final turnover Identify and resolve on-site construction issues efficiently Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a superintendent on multi-family projects , with a minimum of 3 years in affordable housing Deep knowledge of affordable housing funding/programs (LIHTC, HUD, tax credit compliance, Davis-Bacon, etc.) Experience with Type III or V wood-frame construction Ability to manage site logistics in urban or occupied settings Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficient in Procore, PlanGrid, or other construction management platforms Excellent understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and inspection procedures OSHA 30 certification required First Aid/CPR certification preferred Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer.
