Project Accountant

Job Description

The role includes:

  • Managing project financials, including monitoring budgets, forecasts, and actual costs.
  • Reconciling project accounts and ensuring accuracy in expense allocation.
  • Collaborating with project managers to track project progress and financial performance.
  • Preparing financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes related to project accounting.
  • Supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements within project accounting practices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Accountant should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of construction accounting experience
  • Experience in general accounting is a plus
  • Ability to go onsite five days a week in southern suburbs
