Job Title: Project Accounting Specialist - Construction Location: Tempe, AZ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually DOE Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Overview: A well-established company in the construction industry is seeking a Project Accounting Specialist with at least two years of recent experience in construction accounting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with potential for growth and cross-training within the first year of employment. Hybrid work flexibility is available after the initial training period.

Responsibilities: Set up and maintain project financial records

Process AIA billing and manage accounts receivable for assigned projects

Track job costs and monitor budget-to-actual performance

Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close

Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure accurate financial tracking

Support allocations and rate tracking as needed

Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in construction accounting

Familiarity with project-based billing and cost tracking

Experience with ERP systems; Foundation or Spectrum software is a plus

Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments

Additional Information: This position is based in Tempe, AZ and offers a stable work environment with long-term potential. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site initially, with hybrid flexibility available after training.

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
