Below is a description of what the position of “Project Manager” will entail. Your performance will be reviewed on your ability to complete these tasks within the high standards of our four core values, Safety, Quality, Service, and Loyalty.
·        Working hours, while flexible, are expected to be a level which allows you to optimize your project performance and customer experience, while present enough with The Bainey Groups’ internal team, to be involved and contribute team environment.
·        Take project assignments from Sr. Level Project Managers and to be sure that you have received all the information necessary from the Sr. Level Project Manager to provide your responsibilities with the most diligence, timeliness and accuracy.
·        Administer efficient and professional walkthroughs, minding subcontractor and client’s needs and wants, and selection of subcontractors that are appropriately matched with the skill, staffing, and costs, required by each project.
·        Create project bids and proposals according to The Bainey Group’s standards, and with the utmost diligence to provide the most accurate pricing for the project. This includes thorough review of all project documents, timely and thorough submittals of Requests for Information (RFI) and other submittals which may be required to accurately bid the project. The project manager is responsible for diligently informing the client of discrepancies, potential cost overruns,  and thorough clarifications, disclaimers, and exclusions as appropriate for the project.
·        Administer “standard” contract negotiation and execute “standard contracts”, “Purchase Orders”, and/or “work orders”. Responsible for thoroughly reviewing all contractual agreements and bringing any concerns to Sr. Project Management or Executive Management. As Project Manager you are required to get all work authorizations in writing, prior to spending any direct costs on a project or committing to any project delivery expectations with the client. If there is any question of client “credibility” this concern is to be brought to Sr. Level Project Manager or Executive level prior to executing any form of contractual engagement.
·        Project Manager’s are responsible for total control of the project budget. This includes administration of change orders to the project to both the Client (Prime) as well as Subcontractors. All change orders to be in writing and copied to file. Prime change orders should be copied to the Controllers project accounting file as well. The project budget must be up-to-date at all times.
·        Project Manager is responsible for awarding work to Subcontractors based on the most competitive bid, as well as their ability to perform their work in accordance with the project requirements. Project Manager is responsible for procuring all necessary information from Subcontractors, as well as assuring that all subcontracts our executed per The Bainey Group’s Standard Operating Procedures. Bid shopping is not encouraged, and should be only done in the event that it is required to provide the best service to our clients.
·        The Project Manager is responsible for creating and overseeing the entire project schedule, which may include work out side of our scope of the contract. It is the Project Manager’s responsibility to be sure that the project is constantly on schedule, and that any changes in the schedule for any reason is immediately brought to the attention of the Sr. Project Manager, executive level, and client.
