Position Overview
JS Sullivan Development is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager (PM) to oversee a multifamily condominium project located in San Francisco. Reporting directly to the Managing Principal, this project-based role is available immediately. The primary objective of the PM is to manage and coordinate project design and consultant teams from the design development phase through completion of construction. This position requires in-office presence with the option for a hybrid work structure. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture, structural engineering, and/or construction management.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all project consultants – including civil, structural, and MEP – through the completion of construction documents
Drive the project schedule and deliverables, serving as the central point of contact for all communications and activities
Establish productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, streamlining processes to ensure efficient project delivery
Conduct code research and analysis, applying sound judgment to protect design integrity and ensure constructability
Perform additional duties as required to support the project and team
Qualifications & Personal Characteristics
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in architecture, real estate development, construction management, or a related field
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture, Real Estate Development, Engineering, or a related discipline
Professional licensure in California a plus
Strong working knowledge of multifamily housing design, documentation, and detailing from schematic design through construction
Familiarity with Type V construction methods
Proficient in AutoCAD, PlanGrid, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
Solid understanding of California Building Codes and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Strong commitment to design excellence, constructability, and technical precision
Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Project Scope & Time Commitment
Independent contractor role
Hybrid structure with minimum required in-office hours each week
Remote hours aligned with the project phase and overall coordination needs
Workload will vary based on project milestones and delivery timelines
