Construction Quality Coordinator
The Construction Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes across construction projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications, building codes, and company standards. This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and inspectors to identify, track, and resolve quality issues, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety on the job site.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing and implementing project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and quality procedures.
Conduct routine quality inspections of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
Coordinate and document third-party inspections and testing, and ensure timely resolution of non-conformance issues.
Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, punch lists, and deficiency logs.
Work with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
Participate in pre-construction meetings, submittal reviews, and coordination meetings to ensure quality expectations are clearly communicated.
Support project closeout activities, including compiling turnover packages and quality documentation.
Promote and reinforce the company s quality and safety culture on site.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in training field staff on quality procedures and standards.
Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in construction quality assurance/quality control, inspection, or related role.
Working knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
Familiarity with QA/QC practices and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus.
