Position Overview
The Site Superintendent at Curtis Homes, LLC is a key role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day on-site management of residential construction projects under the supervision of the Project Managers. This position ensures that each home is built to Curtis Homes’ high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and efficiency while staying on schedule and within budget. The Site Superintendent will assist the Project Manager to coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, enforce safety protocols, and ensure seamless communication throughout the construction process.
This role requires a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of residential construction, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Site Superintendent will work closely with the project management team to uphold Curtis Homes’ commitment to delivering homes that meet and exceed client expectations. By maintaining strict quality control, optimizing construction workflows, and fostering a collaborative job-site environment, this position plays a crucial role in bringing our homes to life.
This position follows a three-tier system, with levels determined by an individual's skill set and years of experience. Advancement within the role is possible over time through continued growth and development.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Project Manager, this role includes, but is not limited to, the following: * Oversee and manage daily jobsite operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Curtis Homes’ quality standards. * Direct and support subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure efficient, accurate, and spec-compliant work. * Manage and update daily schedules in BuilderTrend; coordinate workflow and adjust timelines to prevent delays and maintain momentum. * Enforce jobsite safety protocols and cleanliness to create a professional and hazard-free environment. Contribute towards tasks such as sweeping, picking up trash, and cleaning the jobsite as needed. * Conduct ongoing inspections to verify compliance with construction plans, specs, and local building codes, addressing issues promptly. * Serve as the primary on-site contact for subcontractors, inspectors, and Project Managers, fostering clear and professional communication. * Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain accurate daily logs, updates, and records of jobsite activities in BuilderTrend including any and all communications on site with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors. * Read and interpret blueprints and specifications, offering guidance to ensure correct and consistent execution on-site. * Monitor deliveries, manage on-site materials, and minimize waste to prevent delays and support project efficiency. * Identify and resolve on-site challenges in real time, applying proactive thinking to maintain quality and workflow. * Lead regular on-site meetings with subcontractors and internal teams to review progress, expectations, and upcoming milestones. * Uphold Curtis Homes’ policies, procedures, and best practices throughout all phases of construction. * Assist in final walkthroughs, punch list execution, and homeowner handoff to ensure a smooth and complete project close-out. * Assist with warranty claims which may include performing on site tasks such as carpentry, paint touch ups, hardware adjustments, and other related tasks as needed to resolve said warranty claims. * Represent Curtis Homes with professionalism and pride, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. * Be open and willing to take on additional tasks as assigned to support company objectives.
Desired Skills, Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. * 3-5+ years of experience in residential construction required. * Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on active job sites. * Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. * OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Familiarity with local building codes, permit processes, and inspection requirements. * Strong leadership and team management abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. * Deep understanding of residential construction processes, materials, and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and contracts. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions. * Proficiency in scheduling software, project management tools, and BuilderTrend (preferred). * Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. * Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control and job site safety. * Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate project documentation and records. * Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record. * Own a smartphone capable of accessing work-related apps and communications.
