Bookkeeper/Job Cost Accounatant GPAC is currently assisting a growing and stable client with their search for a  Bookkeeper/Accountant . This is a Commercial Roofing company that has been in business for over 15 years and has just had their long-time bookkeeper put in her two week notice. This individual will be responsible for accounting operations and more within the company. Bookkeeper/Accountant Responsibilities:

Planning, directing, and coordinating accounting operational functions Annual budgeting and forecasting Month end closing responsibilities Preparation of financial statements Work with auditors Work closely with leadership team Ensure compliance

Bookkeeper/Accountant Background Requirements:

Current experience in Quickbooks desktop—not online

Texas Sales Tax—understanding how to charge customers and filing the reports online with the Comptroller

Paychex payroll experience

An understanding of AIA pay applications and Cost Accounting

Competence in reading and understanding financial statements: Profit and Loss and Balance sheet

A/R and A/P Experience

Ability and willingness to follow directions

Gets along well with others and has a pleasant demeanor

Someone who is organized, stays organized and doesn’t work in a “mess”
