Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group, has a new and exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Security Low Voltage Construction Sales Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, bidding, and securing projects involving security systems and low voltage technologies in new construction or renovation projects. The individual will interpret construction plans and specifications, liaise with general contractors, engineers, and end-users, and provide detailed proposals that meet security and communication infrastructure requirements. This position involves both office and field work. The Salesperson will be expected to travel to construction sites, meet with clients, and work collaboratively with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities- Review construction plans and specifications to identify project opportunities for security and low voltage systems.
- Prepare and submit detailed, competitive proposals and bids based on project scope.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, engineers, and decision-makers.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess conditions and project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate system design and scope of work.
- Follow up on bids and negotiate contracts to secure profitable business.
- Track project progress and communicate updates with stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, codes, and standards related to security and low voltage systems.
- 3+ years of experience in sales or estimating for security/low voltage systems or related industry.
- Strong understanding of construction documents including blueprints, specifications, and bid packages.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection) and low voltage cabling.
- Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Technical degree or certification in electronics, construction management, or related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or construction management platforms.
- NICET, BICSI, RCDD or similar industry certifications.
