Candidate Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 20 years of construction and/or Program Management experience with a focus on government projects
Must have verifiable Design-to-Build experience on projects of $50 million or higher.
Four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Advanced degree and associated industry certifications are preferred
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and have the ability to clear a DHS background check.
The selected Program Manager (PM) will support the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), located at 9200 Powder Mill Road in Laurel, Maryland. The PM will provide a range of analytical, planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the JJRTC Facility Engineering Branch in accomplishing its mission.
Duties:
The Project Manager will manage and oversee the contract management key Design Build construction projects for a federal client.
Act as primary liaison between the construction team, subcontractors, and client
Support the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) by performing project management-related tasks.
Provide the day-to-day project management for highly visible construction and service projects.
Coordinate with the government client on schedule and design review.
Develop solutions to construction problems or existing conditions encountered in the field.
Review contractor submittals for contract conformance.
Assist the contracting officer or COR throughout the acquisition phases of the project
Attend/participate in site orientation visits
Attend/participate in joint contractor/government meetings.
Draft technical responses to any change orders.
Prepare statement of work and cost estimate for new contracts and contract modifications.
