Job Description Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee Federal construction projects with GSA. The successful candidate will have experience monitoring construction projects for Federal clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. Responsibilities: Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction. Review the status of work completed during the period covered. Ensure work is proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner according to approved drawings and specifications. Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions and budget status. Review subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance, and change orders. Review Developer's monthly job cost reports and assess contingency adequacy. Review construction and disbursement schedules. Review lien waivers and other documentation submitted by the Developer. Prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds. Review contract drawings and specifications for completeness and compliance with industry standards. Analyze the Developer's cost budget and coordinate with the Cost Advisory group. Review and comment on construction agreements, subcontracts, and design agreements. Review and comment on various submissions including zoning approvals, permits, surveys, and reports. Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable. Qualifications: At least 8 years of experience in federally funded construction projects, preferably with significant GSA projects of $100 million or more. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient and courteous service. In-depth knowledge of financial principles and ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Strong problem-solving skills with strategic solution development experience. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and understanding of architectural drawings. Knowledge of entitlement/permitting processes, construction practices, building codes, and systems. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Education and Experience: 8+ years of project management experience, including significant GSA projects of $100 million or more. Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field. Licensure as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager is preferred. Experience with JOC, DB, and Kahua is desirable. Additional Information The salary range for this full-time role is $130k-$180k per year, based on experience and qualifications.
