Construction Project Manager Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite, daily presence required)
iParametrics is seeking a senior-level Construction Project Manager to support a major federal program based in Washington, D.C. This position provides leadership and oversight during all project phases-design, construction, and closeout-on large-scale government projects ranging from $25M to $100M+.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee validation of materials and products per specifications
Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with documentation
Manage on-site inspections and verify standards and quality
Lead project document control, including review of daily status reports, construction schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Coordinate with General Contractors on inspections, testing, and stakeholder meetings
Review punch lists, verify completion, and recommend substantial completion
Provide field engineering support and oversee MEP/CSA inspection coordination
Support project controls: cost tracking, schedule reviews, and budget management
Lead the change management process and participate in contractor/vendor evaluations
Manage pay applications and verify off-site stored materials (insurance and documentation)
Ensure permitting, feasibility, and constructability review of design documents
Enforce critical path schedule and attend all stakeholder meetings
Participate in closeout activities and daily on-site presence at the project site
Must Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience managing construction budgets
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records review
U.S. Citizenship (required due to federal contract work
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Construction Management or related discipline
Previous leadership experience with strong team management skills
Based in the DC Metro area
Experience working with District of Columbia or Federal government entities
Familiarity with CPM scheduling and construction/project management software
Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and construction quality standards
Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder coordination skills
