Senior MEP Superintendent, Data Center Construction

We are seeking an experienced MEP/Sr. MEP Superintendent to oversee and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for the construction of a Data Center project in Dallas, TX . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems within the data center industry and a proven track record in leading MEP teams, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the timely and safe completion of complex MEP installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all MEP activities on-site for the data center project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Lead daily coordination meetings with subcontractors and other on-site teams to ensure alignment on schedules, tasks, and project goals. Act as the main point of contact for all MEP-related issues.
Oversee MEP construction schedules and ensure tasks are completed on time to meet project deadlines. Resolve delays and coordinate adjustments to ensure project progress.
Ensure that all MEP work is performed according to contract specifications and meets quality and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of work sites to monitor safety practices.
Assist with managing the MEP portion of the budget, track project expenses, and implement cost-saving measures when applicable.
Direct and manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring they follow project timelines, specifications, and quality standards. Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise on-site.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for all MEP work completed, including daily reports, safety audits, and progress updates. Ensure that all paperwork is submitted in a timely manner.
Work closely with the project manager, design teams, and other construction disciplines to ensure that all MEP systems are integrated smoothly into the building design.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years specifically in MEP superintendent roles for data center projects.
In-depth experience with the MEP systems required for data center construction , including high-voltage electrical systems, HVAC systems, and fire suppression systems.
Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including cooling systems, generators, UPS, switchgear, BMS, and fire protection.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specs, and schedules.
Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and field staff effectively.
Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
Proficient with construction management software (Procore, BIM 360, etc.).
Willingness to be based on-site in Dallas, TX future travel may be required
