The Senior Project Manager leads and manages client relationships, ensuring successful execution of commercial construction projects. Provides leadership, management, and accountability to project teams to meet safety, quality, timeline, budget, and profitability goals, while aligning with the company's core values and client expectations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leads and manages commercial construction projects from design through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met. Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and consultants. Oversees all construction processes including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and project closeout. Identifies and implements creative solutions to construction challenges, adding value to both the team and the project. Prepares and presents proposals, schedules, and progress updates to clients. Ensures compliance with contract terms, including permits, insurance, and subcontracts. Champions safety throughout all phases of the project. Mentors and develops staff, including Project Engineers and Superintendents. Communicates effectively with internal teams, field staff, trade partners, and clients. Upholds company values, with a strong focus on safety, ethics, and professionalism. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management. Must have experience working on varied and complex projects. Must possess advanced knowledge and expertise in the entitlement and design processes, contracts, subcontracts and the preconstruction process through construction to close out and turnover. Must have a valid driver's license. Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore; embraces technology and innovation. Strong understanding of construction principles, project management strategies, and the ability to identify critical paths. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information tactfully. Builds trust and earns respect from project teams, trade partners, and clients. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams toward shared goals. Maintains a customer-focused approach with a pleasant and professional demeanor. Demonstrates sound financial acumen and understanding of project budgets.
