Site Superintendent/ Production Manager (Highway Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services ( www.protecnium.com/en ). We are currently seeking a Site Superintendent / Production Manager to join our team for a highway infrastructure construction project located in Los Angeles, California .
Project Type : Highway / Roadway Construction Schedule : Monday to Friday (approx. 40 hours/week). Additional hours and some weekend shifts may be required based on project demands. Estimated Duration : 8 months Note: Upon project completion, Protecnium will aim to reassign the selected candidate to new ongoing projects, ensuring continuity whenever possible.
Responsibilities: Oversee daily field operations including earthworks, grading, paving, drainage, and structural elements such as retaining walls, sound walls, and culverts. Coordinate and supervise critical path activities including median barrier installation, concrete pavement, and asphalt placement on newly designed freeway ramps. Manage subcontractors to ensure work is executed safely, on schedule, and within quality and budget parameters. Supervise the realignment of freeway on/off ramps. Collaborate with engineers, planners, and inspectors to monitor progress and promptly resolve on-site issues. Track and optimize resource allocation, productivity, and equipment usage to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure full compliance with Caltrans standards and all relevant local/state regulations. Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks while maintaining a high standard of safety culture on site. Report daily progress, delays, and performance updates to the Project Director and client representatives.
Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles on highway, road, linear, or heavy civil construction projects. At least 2 years of proven field experience within the United States in comparable roles. Legal authorization to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizen, green card holder, or valid work permit). Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated technical knowledge in earthworks, drainage, road paving, structural concrete, and utility coordination. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Familiarity with Caltrans standards is highly preferred.
