Software Product Manager - Digital Manufacturing and Construction
New Today
Reframe Systems is on a mission to build net-zero carbon housing for all, at massive scale. To achieve our mission, we need to make net-zero carbon housing more affordable and we are re-imagining how housing is designed and built. Our volumetric module platform and highly-automated production system will drive down cost, delivery time, and embodied carbon for multifamily housing. We are setting up our first digital factory in the greater Boston area (Andover, MA), and have a roadmap to scale our presence nationally. We are disrupting assembly line manufacturing for housing production and are backed by leading VC firms in the industrial and construction space.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a deeply user-centric and strategic Software Product Manager to own the vision for our integrated digital platform. This platform is the software engine that powers our end-to-end process and consists of two core product suites:
- Design Automation (DA): A suite of tools that translates design intent into manufacturing artifacts. It operates within the Onshape CAD platform and will expand to connect the full design pipeline from site selection and architectural design through to shop drawing and machine file creation.
- Factory Orchestration (FO): The software that manages and schedules work on the factory floor. This includes delivering the right information to the right work cells at the right time, as well as the user interfaces and workflows our operators use every day.
You will be responsible for the "what" and the "why," transforming user pain points and strategic goals into a clear, prioritized product roadmap for this entire platform. If you are passionate about building powerful tools to solve real-world problems, this is a unique opportunity to shape the core technology of a company reinventing the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Own the Product Vision and Strategy: Define and champion a clear, user-centric vision for the DA and FO platforms, ensuring alignment with the needs of our users and the company's broader strategic goals.
- Lead Product Discovery and User Research: Serve as the primary voice of the customer by engaging directly with users (Design Engineering, Architecture, Operations) to deeply understand their workflows, challenges, and unmet needs.
- Manage the Product Roadmap and Backlog: Create, maintain, and communicate a prioritized product roadmap. Lead the adoption of user stories to build a well-defined backlog for the engineering teams.
- Guide Development and Prioritization: Serve as the key decision-maker for the product backlogs, balancing short-term, tactical requests against long-term strategic and architectural needs.
- Bridge Business and Technical Teams: Translate user insights and business needs into clear product requirements and user stories for the engineering team, ensuring a shared understanding of priorities and goals.
- Define and Analyze Success Metrics: Determine and analyze the key metrics that measure the success of new features, such as reduced modeling time, fewer errors, and improved user satisfaction.
